1. Close all open programs, including WinFax PRO (if it was successfully installed).


2. Click Start.


3. Click Search.


4. Ensure that "Look in" is set to "All drives" or to(C:).


5. Click the "Advanced Options" arrow.


6. Ensure that "Search system folders", "Search hidden files and folders", and "Search subfolders" are all checked.


7. Click All files and folders.


8. In the "All or part of the file name box" type--or copy and paste--the
   following: framedyn.dll


9. Click Search. The results are displayed. You may find more than one. You are looking for a copy of the file that is in the C:\Windows\System32\dllcache folder or the C:\i386 folder.


10. Right-click the file and then click Copy.


11. Click Start and then click My Computer.


12. Browse to the C:\Windows\System32 folder, right-click it, and then click Paste.


13. Click Start and then click Control Panel.


14. Double-click the System icon.


15. Click the System Restore tab and check Turn Off System Restore.


16. Click Apply and then click OK.


17. Restart the computer.


18. Do one of the following:
    
    
    
    • If WinFax PRO is not yet installed, install it at this time.
    
    
    • If WinFax PRO is already installed, go on to the next section and run the Insprint.exe utility.
    
    
    
    

To run the Insprint.exe utility

1. Close the WinFax Message Manager and Controller. Exit all open programs and stop the WinFax service. For information on how to do this, read the document How to start or stop a service in Windows.


2. Click Start.


3. Click Search.


4. Ensure that "Look in" is set to the drive on which WinFax is installed.


5. Click the "Advanced Options" arrow.


6. Ensure that "Search system folders", "Search hidden files and folders", and "Search subfolders" are all checked.


7. Click All files and folders.


8. In the "All or part of the file name box" type--or copy and paste--the following: insprint.exe


9. Click Search. The results are displayed.


10. Double-click the Insprint.exe file. The printer driver files will be reinstalled.
    If you see a message that printer driver files have been installed, click OK.


11. Restart the computer and use WinFax
